Production Equipment Europe is a leading industrial distributor supplying over 90,000 products across Europe. We are recruiting a Sourcing Specialist to work in Galway.
The Sourcing Specialist will work closely with managers and cross-functional teams to drive cost savings and maximize business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Strategic sourcing of products and global procurement
- Negotiate pricing, deals, contracts, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to reduce sourcing costs and create value for customers
- Conduct market and spend analysis to drive cost savings and supplier improvements
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers for high-quality and cost-effective solutions
- Partner with internal stakeholders to develop business and maximize opportunities
- Manage tender enquiries and negotiation of contracts
- Work as part of a dynamic team to achieve company goals
Requirements
- Qualification or relevant industry experience, preferably in supply chain or sourcing
- Proven track record of supplier evaluation, negotiation, and selection
- Strong organizational and administration skills
- Ability to absorb technical product information
- Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills
- Good computer skills, preferably with SAP ERP experience
- Flexible and proactive attitude with strategic thinking
- Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to work to agreed time scales and deadlines
