This is a great opportunity for a highly experienced Sous Chef who is looking to progress to their first Head Chef role under the guidance of the current Head Chef. The restaurant is known for its well-executed menu and welcoming atmosphere.
- Ensure smooth daily operations in the kitchen
- Train and supervise the kitchen team to maintain the highest standards of food quality and service delivery
- Develop and implement menus that showcase creativity and innovation
- Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Manage stock levels and control costs
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to all relevant health and safety legislation
The ideal candidate will have:
- A minimum of five years' experience as Sous Chef in quality dining establishments
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a kitchen team
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire the team
- Ability to create innovative and appealing menus
- Proven track record in managing budgets and costs
- Knowledge of culinary and health trends
