Sous Chef Excel recruitment is currently recruiting for a Sous Chef for one of our clients in the Dublin area. This is an ideal role for a talented chef looking to step into a leadership position while working in a fast-paced and creative kitchen environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Head Chef in planning and executing seasonal menus with creative flair and attention to detail. Lead and supervise the kitchen team during service, ensuring smooth operations and timely dish preparation. Ensure that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards, meeting the expectations of guests. Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure that kitchen stock is controlled and maintained efficiently. Enforce all food safety and HACCP regulations to maintain a clean and compliant kitchen environment. Train, mentor, and develop junior kitchen staff to help them reach their full potential. Assist with menu development, cost control, and maintaining profitability while delivering quality. Key Requirements: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a busy kitchen environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team and delegate tasks effectively. Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices. Ability to work well under pressure in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen. Strong communication and organisational skills.
