Job Description
Speech and Language Therapist required for an acute hospital in Meath, with experience in Dysphagia and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
My client, a 107-bed hospital, provides general acute hospital services and a Regional Elective Orthopaedic service to the catchment area of Meath.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete bedside assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Participate in professional development and continuing education activities.
- Identify patients needing objective assessment such as Videofluoroscopy or FEES.
- Work closely with other MDT members to co-ordinate referrals and allocate resources.
- Ensure therapy is evidenced based and provided in accordance with standards of professional practice.
- Follow protocols and procedures for working with patients in their home.
Requirements:
- Rélevant Qualification required.
- CORU registration mandatory.
- Experience in Dysphagia.
- Full Driving License and access to own transport.
