Speech and Language Therapist required for a 107-bed acute hospital in Meath, providing general acute hospital service and Regional Elective Orthopaedic service.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Dysphagia and a desire to learn, with a relevant qualification and CORU registration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Completing bedside assessments and developing treatment plans for patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Participating in professional development and continuing education activities.
- Identifying patients needing objective assessment such as Videofluoroscopy or FEES.
- Working closely with other MDT members to co-ordinate referrals and allocate resources.
- Ensuring therapy is evidenced based and provided in accordance with standards of professional practice.
- Following protocols and procedures for working with patients in their home.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification.
- CORU registration.
- Experience in Dysphagia.
- Full driving license and access to own transport.
