Speech and Language Therapist Acute Hospital Medforce are delighted to be partnering with an acute Hospital in Meath who are looking for a Speech and Language Therapist. The Therapist will ideally come with Dysphagia competencies and experience. if not at least a desire to learn. My client has a total of 107 beds and provides a general acute hospital service to the catchment area of Meath and a Regional Elective Orthopaedic service. Duties include: Completing bedside assessments and developing treatment plans for patients with communication and swallowing disorders. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive patient care. Monitoring patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed. Participating in professional development and continuing education activities Identify patients needing objective assessment such as Videofluoroscopy or FEES Working closely with other MDT members to co-ordinate referrals and allocate resources Ensure therapy is evidenced based and provided in accordance with standards of professional practice Follow protocols and procedures for working with patients in their home Participating in CPD, meetings and supervision.
