Job Description

Medforce have teamed up with a resourceful, detail-oriented and forward-thinking Childrens Disability Service in South Louth/Coastal Meathto recruit bothStaff Grade and SeniorSpeech and Language Therapists. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about working with children who have complex needs and their families. The Speech and Language Therapist willwork with children presenting a range of communication difficulties, including speech, language, social communication, and feeding/swallowing disorders. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and other specialists, working collaboratively to provide comprehensive care and support to children and their families. For the staff grade post,you will be given regular supervision and receive regular support form senior Speech and Langugage Therapists within the service. Working with Children who have complex needs is challenging yet a deeply rewarding place to practice Speech and Language Therapy. There are support networks in place to enable you to be the best therapist you can be and make a real difference to children and their families. Role:This is a Specified Purpose Contract for 6 months initially with a view to extend,full-time 35 hours, Monday Friday.29 days annual leave / 30 for senior, 10 bank holidays, weekly payroll. Requirements: BSc/MSc in Speech and Language Therapy or its equivalent. CORU Registration is essential. 3+ years post-graduate experience for the Senior post. Full Drivers Licence with access to own transport. Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder and children with intellectual disabilities (desirable). An undergraduate or post-graduate qualification in dysphagia and at least 6 months experience working in this area.
