SQL Specialist -Dublin - €500-550 per Day About the role - Core Responsibilities This role involves working with a leading and long established Irish Insurance Provider on an SQL upgrade project. The project will primarily be focused on a move from SQL 12 to SQL 22, and the SQL specialist will need to understand the implications of this for their existing suite of applications and be able to brief key stakeholders on same. Attendance for this role will be on a Hybrid basis, with the SQL Specialist required onsite on average 2 days per week at the company's easily accessible HQ in Dublin Southwest. While this role is initially offered on a 12 month contract basis, there is scope for it to extend well be on this timeframe. Essential Candidate Requirements * Third level Degree/Postgraduate qualification in Computer Science, IT or other relevant area * Advanced knowledge of SQL including complex stored procedures, functions, query optimization, indexing strategy. * 5+ years of data engineering experience with hands-on exposure to working with SSIS and SQL Server Database. * Experience in leading or consulting on upgrades from previous versions of SQL to SQL 22 * Moving all components to an SQL server * Strong knowledge of an and experience with MS SQL server * ETL/ ELT design and development experience. * Additional Experience in designing, building and maintaining large/complex (And scalable) Data Warehouse systems is desirable. * Tableau experience would be particularly welcome.
