Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer to join our team in AWS Data Center Commissioning. The successful candidate will be responsible for commissioning and testing of data center infrastructure, ensuring high-quality and efficient delivery of our services.
About the Role:
- Support vendors and contractors in the construction and commissioning of data center infrastructure.
- Develop and execute test procedures for mechanical and electrical systems.
- Review and comment on commissioning scripts and design documents.
- Manage on-site commissioning vendors and track project progress.
- Collaborate with AWS partner teams to resolve coordination and delivery issues.

We are committed to ensuring the rapid delivery of a quality product while maintaining full transparency and recording metrics of manufacturer/contractor/equipment issues.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in mission-critical facilities or data center infrastructure.
- 5+ years of commissioning experience.
- Certification or training specific to NETA, ASHRAE, or Commissioning specific education courses.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time.
- Competency in both spoken and written English.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk job sites in uneven terrain.
- Ability to work at heights and from ladders.
- Ability to carry objects weighing up to 49 pounds for short distances.
- Ability to work shifts longer than eight hours in duration.
- Ability to respond to off-hour emergency calls.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in high-stress environments.
- Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems for critical infrastructures.
- Ability to read and edit construction documents.
