We are looking for a Senior Fleet Operations Manager who is responsible for the safety, compliance, and availability of the Fleet in their respective region in the UK. The candidate will need to determine the strategy of the team and understand where to simplify or extend solutions for the best outcome. This person will implement the use of best practices and play a central role within the larger fleet organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Be the regional lead for health and safety of fleet, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with local regulations by performing audits and collating regional feedback through partnership with Fleet Compliance and Safety teams.
  2. Be the Single Threaded Leader for product and program launching across the UK regions, launching fleet operations initiatives and fleet-related programs.
  3. Strategically influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, internal and external, to solve complex operational needs.
  4. Manage volatile vehicle demand across the UK and make trade-offs between short-term and long-term risks.
  5. This role will be based in one of our delivery stations within the UK and requires the ability to travel 20-30% of the time across the assigned region.

Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Cooperate with the stations and other business functions to identify and consolidate vehicle demand, especially regarding peaks and ramps.
  2. Consistently innovate and implement best practices in Fleet Operations and Safety across EU.
  3. Cooperate with multiple internal and external stakeholders in communication of local business needs and understanding of last mile vehicle strategies.
  4. Monitor vehicle pool and pipeline to ensure sufficient capacity is available and escalate on time to avoid shortfalls.
  5. Ensure that delivery orders are executed on time in full and in line with the highest quality standards.
  6. Operational escalation management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor's degree.
  2. Experience influencing and interacting with cross-functional teams.
  3. Proven experience in the logistics industry.
  4. Previous experience operating and managing complex operations.
  5. A history of developing strong, value-add partnerships.
  6. Ability to effectively work with a variety of organizations, management levels, cultures, and personalities.
  7. Ability to handle and prioritize when presented with a high volume of engagements.
  8. Excellent communication skills and a high bar for accuracy and detail.
  9. Proven track record of managing multiple priorities.
  10. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  2. Fleet Management experience.
  3. Background in mobility services (e.g., Car Lease/ Automotive company).
