Job Description
Amazon is seeking a Senior Fleet Operations Manager to lead the safety, compliance, and availability of the Fleet in the UK region.
We are looking for a highly experienced professional to develop and implement strategies for the team, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with local regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and fleet management, with experience influencing and interacting with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead health and safety initiatives for the fleet, ensuring vehicles are compliant with local regulations.
- Launch fleet operations initiatives and programs across the UK regions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to solve complex operational needs.
- Manage vehicle demand across the UK, making trade-offs between short-term and long-term risks.
- Travel 20-30% of the time across the assigned region.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Cooperate with stations and other business functions to identify and consolidate vehicle demand.
- Implement best practices in Fleet Operations and Safety across the EU.
- Communicate local business needs and understand last mile vehicle strategies.
- Monitor vehicle pool and pipeline to ensure sufficient capacity is available.
- Ensure delivery orders are executed on time and in line with quality standards.
- Manage operational escalations.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience influencing and interacting with cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience in the logistics industry.
- Previous experience operating and managing complex operations.
- Ability to work with various organizations, management levels, cultures, and personalities.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Proven track record of managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree or MBA.
- Fleet Management experience.
- Background in mobility services.
