Amazon is seeking a Senior Fleet Operations Manager to lead the safety, compliance, and availability of the Fleet in the UK region.

We are looking for a highly experienced professional to develop and implement strategies for the team, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with local regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and fleet management, with experience influencing and interacting with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead health and safety initiatives for the fleet, ensuring vehicles are compliant with local regulations.
  • Launch fleet operations initiatives and programs across the UK regions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to solve complex operational needs.
  • Manage vehicle demand across the UK, making trade-offs between short-term and long-term risks.
  • Travel 20-30% of the time across the assigned region.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Cooperate with stations and other business functions to identify and consolidate vehicle demand.
  • Implement best practices in Fleet Operations and Safety across the EU.
  • Communicate local business needs and understand last mile vehicle strategies.
  • Monitor vehicle pool and pipeline to ensure sufficient capacity is available.
  • Ensure delivery orders are executed on time and in line with quality standards.
  • Manage operational escalations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience influencing and interacting with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience in the logistics industry.
  • Previous experience operating and managing complex operations.
  • Ability to work with various organizations, management levels, cultures, and personalities.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Fleet Management experience.
  • Background in mobility services.
