Renewable Energy Program Manager
Microsoft is seeking a passionate and creative originator to join its Renewable Energy team as a Program Manager, focused on EMEA procurement.
The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing renewable energy contracts for Microsoft, with a focus on EMEA markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, maintain, and execute sourcing strategy for renewable energy to ensure Microsoft meets its public-facing goals.
- Evaluate project viability and development progress, market conditions, and sourcing data to inform decision making.
- Manage contract and price negotiation activities and strategies for renewable energy PPAs.
- Manage internal cross-functional partnerships and monitor and resolve internal partner's issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, Sustainability, or related field.
- Good years of experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, renewable energy law, or relevant sales-related roles.
- Experience leading negotiations for renewable energy contractual agreements.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in European wholesale and retail power markets.
- Experience in renewable energy project development, procurement, negotiations, or origination.
- Experience in corporate energy procurement.
- Experience in data center energy procurement.
