Supplier Quality Engineer

Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure high-quality infrastructure equipment for Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers.

  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and supply chain teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain supplier quality roadmaps to ensure compliance with AWS quality standards.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to verify supplier quality performance.
  • Drive supplier development and quality improvement initiatives.

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of quality for AWS infrastructure equipment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality control processes, conduct audits and inspections, and drive supplier development and quality improvement initiatives.

AWS Infrastructure Reliability & Quality (IRQ) engineering team provides engineering support for our data center infrastructure equipment throughout their lifecycle. The Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) team is part of the IRQ team and works on implementing proactive controls to reduce incoming supplier quality issues.

Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering or similar related field.
  • 8+ years of industry experience in quality/manufacturing engineering.
  • Expert knowledge in manufacturing processes, ISO-9000, quality control plans, and failure analysis or problem-solving methodologies.
  • Six Sigma certification and Lean certification.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and the creation of tables, data analysis, dashboards, reports, including advanced analysis features.
