JOB SUMMARY Manage tooling lifecycle for customers tooling assets - ensuring PMs are completed on time and issues recorded and actioned appropriately. Ensure all tool inventory is recorded onto maintenance system (EAM) and manage tool spares. Develop specific maintenance plan for each tool – Implementing staged PM levels. Order tooling consumables. Work with external toolmaking vendors on repairs - managing any repair project. Expand on maintenance system (EAM) capabilities using it to manage validated spares vs unvalidated, develop meaningful maintenance metrics, implement auto ordering for planned PMs etc. Complete tooling IQ for all new customer owned new tools. Implement CMM to measure gate diameter as part of the PM process, controlled by maintenance system (EAM). Engage with new tool design review meetings. JOB QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS Possess a thorough understanding of the mold making process from start to finish and have experience managing this process. Familiar with all aspects of molding plastics. Knowledgeable in troubleshooting mold issues and die issues. Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and Powerpoint), Solidworks and e-mail skills required. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's Degree required. Degree in Engineering preferred. Or completion of an accredited Four year Tool and Die apprenticeship program. Minimum of 5 years experience on the bench. Possess project management skills including scheduling and resource allocation forecasting.
