Job Description Summary: UTR Manager is responsible for developing and implementing safety plans for unique WHS situations, ensuring compliance with Amazon WHS policies, and providing accurate reports and metrics to support business WHS initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement safety plans for emergency situations, peak times, and other unique WHS situations.

  • Ensure compliance with all Amazon WHS policies and procedures.

  • Support business WHS initiatives by maintaining accurate WHS records and providing reports and metrics.

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, develop and implement solutions to prevent injuries, and verify that all risks are addressed and mitigated.

  • Conduct audits to ensure that all WHS policies, procedures, and regulations are being followed.

  • Ensure that all WHS training is accurate, consistent, and effective.

  • Review the effectiveness of safety tools and implement continuous improvements.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 3+ years of experience in safety management, with a focus on field safety guidance and implementation.

    • Experience with risk assessments, accident investigations, and corrective actions in EHS.

    • Business-level Japanese language skills (document creation, reading, and conference participation).

    • Conversational English language skills (document creation is a plus).

    • Knowledge of ISO 18001/45001, transportation safety management, and management system audits.

    • Experience with project participation (P.M. experience is a plus).

    • Knowledge of Japanese safety-related laws (Labor Safety and Health Act, Labor Standards Act, Fire Act).

    • Standardization and implementation experience of requirements based on transportation and road traffic law.

    • Business-level English language skills.
