We are seeking applications for the following permanent role: Staff Education, Training and Development Officer The Staff Education, Training and Development Officer role sits in the Staff Education, Training and Development Department (SETDD) and has responsibility for the effective day-to-day running, management and on-going development of all aspects of his/her assigned areas. In the first instance this role will have responsibility for (i) ensuring specific units in SMH have excellently trained staff who are fully compliant with all required training areas and (ii) particular responsibility for training related to H&S for all parts of the organisation. We would welcome hearing from you if you are a self-starter with a passion for excellence in the delivery of staff education and training and if you meet the following criteria: Essential: ? A L7 degree in Social Care or sufficiently relevant qualification (if not already registered with CORU must achieve registration within 6 months of appointment) ? A minimum of three years working at frontline in intellectual disability service provision ? Experience of developing and delivering staff training face-to-face; blended and/or online ? Relevant experience of person-centred service delivery and related systems ? An understanding of the UNCRPD and how it should influence staff education and training ? Excellent people management skills and competencies ? Excellent organisational, team-working and interpersonal skills ? Competence in information/data analysis, synthesis, summarising and presentation including report writing Highly Desirable: ? A relevant postgraduate qualification OR currently studying for a relevant post graduate qualification ? Evaluation and/or research skill/experience ? Experience of working directly with families of people with intellectual disability ? The development and/or production of easy read materials for people with intellectual disabilities ? Experience or qualifications in online learning - development and/or delivery. ? Competence in the management and operation of Information Management Systems (IMS) and or database(s) What we can offer: ? Salary Scale: The successful candidate will be paid in line with HSE consolidated Social Care Leader pay scale (June 2024 rates) € 54,157 - € 63,245 (7-point scale) Applicants without public sector experience will be placed on point 1 of the pay scale.
