Position: Staff Grade Clinical Psychologist The Caterpillar Clinic Location: Skerries, North County Dublin & Remote Options Available Contract Type: Full Time Contract Contract Hours: 35 Hours per Week Salary: €65,519 to €98,223 pro rata per annum Annual Leave Entitlement: 30 days pro rata per annum plus 3 self-care leave days Reporting to: Dr. Claire Conlon, Chartered Senior Clinical Psychologist and Clinic Director Introduction: The Caterpillar Clinic is a psychology led practice dedicated to providing a wide range of neurodevelopmental and emotional support services to children, adolescents, and families in an accessible, timely manner. We offer a combination of in-person and online services, including assessments, consultations, and therapeutic interventions. Our clinic operates with a neuroaffirmative, strength-based approach, empowering families to recognize and utilize their strengths while navigating challenges. In addition to our core services, we are passionate about offering free and low-cost webinars, courses, and on-demand programs to support charities, health service teams, and parents globally. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, creative, and skilled Staff Grade Clinical Psychologist to join our team. Position Summary: The Staff Grade Clinical Psychologist will deliver a range of psychological services to children (ages 018) and their families. This role emphasizes neurodevelopmental assessments, emotional support, and therapeutic interventions both in-person and online. The successful candidate will also support the development of webinars, online programs, and resources for the clinics community. The position offers the flexibility of a work-from-home policy on certain days. We offer a competitive salary and well-being annual leave days. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychological assessments for children and young adults (ages 3-18+), with a focus on neurodevelopmental conditions. Provide therapeutic interventions in both in-person and online settings, addressing the unique needs of children and families. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (psychology, speech therapy, occupational therapy) to ensure an integrated approach to care. Develop and deliver online programs, webinars, and digital resources to support the clinics mission. Write comprehensive reports and liaise with schools and external agencies as needed, ensuring the highest standard of care. Participate in regular supervision and attend clinical team meetings. Adhere to the neuroaffirmative and strength-based philosophy of the clinic, supporting individuals in discovering and embracing their strengths. Ensure timely and accurate record-keeping in compliance with GDPR and other relevant regulations. Essential Qualifications: A degree in Psychology (QQI level 8 or equivalent), with honors in Psychology as a major subject AndA Postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). Membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). Experience working with children (ages 0-18) and their families, particularly those with physical disabilities, autism, or learning disabilities. Full driving license and access to personal transport. Desirable Qualifications: Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment. Experience working in disability services. Experience conducting diagnostic assessments in children and adolescents with suspected neurodivergence. Experience and enthusiasm for creative online presence.
