Job Description

Are you a Staff Grade Physiotherapist seeking a role in a paediatric setting? Or maybe you're a recent graduate seeking a position where you can grow and learn from experienced professionals. Our client offers excellent structure and supervision in a busy children's disability service located in, Leitrim. This role is open to Staff Grade Physiotherapists. Medforce are keen to speak to motivated and skilled Physiotherapists who are interested in working with children. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing physiotherapy programs for children with a range of complex disabilities. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support tailored to each child's needs. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for children with disabilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address physical, developmental, and functional needs. Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, coordination, and overall physical function. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and doctors, to ensure a holistic approach to care. Educate and support families on physiotherapy techniques and strategies to continue therapy at home. Monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of comprehensive care plans. Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in paediatric physiotherapy. Qualifications: A BSc/MSc degree in Physiotherapy Current registration with CORU or eligibility to register. Experience working with children with disabilities is highly desirable. Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
