Job Description
A well-established children's primary care team in South West Dublin requires a Staff Grade Psychologist to contribute to a waitlist initiative and deliver evidence-based, family-centred care.
The role involves providing professional psychology services, operating within professional limits, and adhering to best practice principles. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing professional psychology services in line with best practices.
- Conducting psychological assessments using a variety of sources, including psychological tests, self-report measures, observations, and interviews with clients, families, and carers.
- Developing and implementing therapeutic intervention plans based on appropriate conceptual frameworks in both home and clinical settings.
- Communicating and collaborating effectively with team members to ensure integrated service provision.
- Engaging in needs assessments and health promotion activities.
- Providing professional reports adhering to professional standards.
- Maintaining ethical and professional conduct at all times.
- Advocating for a workplace culture that values equality, diversity, and respect.
The role also involves contributing to research and evaluation, including:
- Utilizing literature and research to support effective practice.
- Participating in evaluating clinical/professional activities and providing necessary information for service monitoring and evaluation.
- Engaging in audit and service evaluation to enhance service provision.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative practices in psychology.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
- Participating in professional development initiatives and complying with statutory registration requirements.
- Staying informed about advances in professional knowledge and practice.
- Attending required training programs.
- Collaborating with Senior/Principal Psychologists on training needs and personal development planning.
