**Staff Grade Psychologist**
Medforce, a proud provider of recruitment services, is currently hiring for a well-established children's primary care team in South West Dublin. The role involves contributing to a waitlist initiative and delivering evidence-based, family-centred care.
The successful candidate will provide professional psychology services in line with best practices, operate within professional limits, and handle a clinical caseload suitable for the position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional psychology services in line with best practices
- Conduct psychological assessments using a variety of sources, including psychological tests, self-report measures, observations, and interviews with clients, families, and carers
- Develop and implement therapeutic intervention plans based on appropriate conceptual frameworks in both home and clinical settings
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with team members to ensure integrated service provision
- Participate in inter-agency work practices and service delivery as required
- Engage in needs assessments and health promotion activities
- Provide professional reports adhering to professional standards
- Educate, guide, and support others to foster an understanding of the role and contribution of psychology
- Attend meetings, committees, and conferences as required
- Maintain ethical and professional conduct at all times
- Promote equality, diversity, and respect
Research and Evaluation:
- Utilize literature and research to support effective practice
- Undertake and advise on research projects
- Share research outcomes in professional journals and conferences
- Engage in audit and service evaluation to enhance service provision
- Participate in evaluating clinical/professional activities and provide necessary information for service monitoring and evaluation
- Promote high ethical standards and professional conduct
Education and Training:
- Participate in professional development initiatives and comply with statutory registration requirements
- Stay informed about advances in professional knowledge and practice
- Attend required training programs
- Collaborate with Senior/Principal Psychologists on training needs and personal development planning
- Engage in and utilize clinical supervision effectively
- Assist in educating postgraduate professional psychology trainees
