Job Description

We here at Beech Lodge Care Facility, provide the highest quality of care to our family/residents and we are looking to expand our team to assist us with providing this home away from home experience. We are looking for full time/part time Staff Nurses to join our team: The Staff Nurse shares responsibility with the nursing team for maintaining a high standard of nursing care under the direction of the Clinical Nurse Manager and Director of Nursing. They will at all times maintain a high standard of professional and ethical responsibility and continuously develop their clinical expertise, leadership, and teaching skills through nursing practice in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) and Health, Information and Quality Authority (HIQA). Principal Duties & Responsibilities Provide safe, comprehensive nursing care to residents within the guidelines specified by the NMBI and HIQA. Establish care priorities based on nursing/medical patient problems. Collaborate with the wider clinical team in the treatment and care planning of residents through the co-ordination of care and treatments provided by other disciplines and integrating these into care plans. Know and practice according to established legal requirements policy and procedures. Perform procedures accurately, completely, and safely maintaining a safe environment for patients. Respect the dignity and confidentiality of patients, serving as an advocate where necessary. Function quickly and effectively in an emergency situation. Deal with unit incidents and accidents in accordance with unit policy and accurately record and report details. Contribute to nursing quality assurance by assisting in the identification of recurring nursing problems and co-operating in data collection. Report verbally and in writing pertinent patient care information to appropriate nursing/medical personnel. Document according to policy and procedures. Follow appropriate lines of authority by discussing issues firstly with Clinical Nurse Manager and then with the Director of Nursing. Report ongoing problems to CNM/Charge Nurse. Qualifications and/or Experience Be registered on the General Division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). Be flexible in relation to their work pattern and assigned unit of care. Have excellent communication and organizational skills. Have proven clinical experience, a clear commitment to person-centred care, and strong interpersonal skills. Have fluent spoken and written English.
