Staff Nurse Job Description
Enable Ireland is seeking a highly-motivated Staff Nurse to join our team in Carlow / Kilkenny Respite Service. The successful candidate will have a recognized validated University Degree in Intellectual Disability/General or Children's nursing and be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a person-centered environment that promotes each child's participation and independence.
- Provide clinical and therapeutic interventions to meet the needs of children with disabilities.
- Coordinate, assess, plan, implement, and review care for children according to service standards.
- Lead clinical caseloads and provide clinical supervision to staff and students.
- Develop and implement programs of activity for each child in partnership with parents and carers.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers to provide a family-centered service.
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to plan and deliver services for children.
Requirements:
- Recognized validated University Degree in Intellectual Disability/General or Children's nursing.
- Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland.
- Experience working with children with disabilities.
- Full manual driving license and access to own transport.
