STAFF NURSE OPD UROLOGY Bon Secours Hospital Cork are delighted to announce theopportunity available to fill the role of a Staff Nurse with an interest in urodynamics and invite applications from suitably qualified candidates. The successful applicant willprovide direct care to all patients under the supervision of the outpatients Team whilst acquiring and developing the specialist skills and knowledge to meet the needs of this patient group. You will work within the nursing team and assist colleagues as necessary in providing and maintaining the highest standards in patient care at all times and to work as part of the multidisciplinary team. Candidate Requirements: Registered in the General Division of the live register of nurses kept by the NMBI. A minimum 12 months post qualification experience, preferably in the surgical setting. A minimum 12 months experience working in an acute hospital. Willing to obtain a Certificate in Urodynamics. This is a Full-time position and requires you to work 37.5 hours per week. Urology Specific Requirements: Assists with all procedures performed Outpatients Department including Urodynamics and the Lithotripsy clinic. Provide clinical management and independent care for Urodynamics, Uroflows and reporting of results to consultants for interpretation. Provides clinical care and education for the patient with catheter changes and self-catheterisation. Administration of intravesical therapy for bladder cancer and benign bladder conditions. Person Specification: Excellent interpersonal and team building skills. Must possess strong communication skills and clinical skills.
