Job Description
Staff Nurse position available at Saint John of God Community Services Liffey Services in Kildare. Role involves supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be registered with NMBI and hold RNID or RGN qualification.
- Demonstrate knowledge of HSE New Directions Interim Standards, 2015.
- Have experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities.
- Commit to delivering a person-directed programme.
- Engage with the local community and explore options for adults within their community.
- Hold a full clean manual driving licence and be willing to drive as part of the role.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience as a registered nurse working with people with intellectual disabilities and challenging behaviors.
- Excellent communication skills and a high level of motivation.
- Flexibility in all aspects of work.
- Knowledge of Supported Self-Directed Living and Social Role Valorisation theory.
- Proficient ICT skills.
