Job Description

**Statutory Accountant Newbridge** We are seeking a highly skilled Statutory Accountant to join our Finance Reporting Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely statutory financial statements, leading the year-end audit process, and ensuring compliance with relevant Irish statutory requirements and regulations. **Key Responsibilities:** * Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS, FRS 101, FRS 102, and relevant Company law requirements * Coordinate and manage the external audit, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors and internal teams * Work closely with the tax team on year-end tax figures and note disclosures * Implement audit recommendations to improve financial processes and controls * Ensure compliance with all relevant Irish statutory requirements and regulations * Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations and propose changes in accounting practices and policies where necessary * Manage ongoing reviews of internal finance policies and update as required * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders * Coordinate required Code of Practice disclosures for half year and year-end * Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices in financial reporting and compliance * Liaise with the BI team to create new or improved reports within the Oracle BI system * Conduct detailed financial analysis to support senior management decision-making * Provide financial guidance and support to other departments as needed **Requirements:** * Big 4 Qualified Accountant (ACA) * Level 8 Hons Degree in Accountancy, Business, or related discipline * Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and statutory reporting requirements * Analytical skills with ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insights * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement effective solutions * Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively * Strong Excel skills and Oracle/BI experience an advantage **About Bord na Mna:** Bord na Mna is an equal opportunities employer.
