Seeking a skilled Statutory COE Accountant to join a team focused on timely and accurate financial statement preparation, audit delivery, and statistical reporting for a multinational company.
Cpl, in partnership with Pfizer, is currently recruiting for a COE Statutory Accountant to work onsite in Dublin for a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will be an important member of a team responsible for end-to-end Local GAAP reporting activities and US GAAP related activities.
The Statutory Reporting Centre of Excellence has a number of accounting responsibilities, including:
- Preparing statutory financial statements in line with local requirements.
- Preparing audit deliverables for KPMG GBS, KPMG Market, and Internal Audit.
- Working with KPMG to ensure timely and satisfactory completion of audits under Local GAAP.
- Maintaining Local GAAP ledgers ensuring information is updated in a timely and accurate manner.
- Preparing US GAAP quarterly controls, including post-submissions analytics.
- Developing effective working relationships with key stakeholders in market finance and GBS.
- Acting as a first point of contact for key stakeholders, both internally and with external parties.
- Supporting implementation of new business technology and reporting tools around financial statement preparation.
- Contributing to team effort and assisting other colleagues as needed.
- Proactively identifying, rectifying, and following up on local accounting issues arising.
- Ensuring adherence to controls and a robust controls culture.
- Identifying opportunities for process continuous improvement and implementing solutions.
- Supporting departmental, ad hoc, and other projects as required.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A University Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- Qualified Accountant or equivalent.
- Knowledge and practical experience of Local and US GAAPs.
- Minimum 3+ years of related accounting experience.
- Experience in a shared services/multinational environment.
- Strong accounting, interpersonal, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently, under pressure, and handle conflicting priorities.
- SAP experience.
- Proficiency in PC skills (including Word and Excel).
