Structural Steel Foreman Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Foreman to lead the assembly and installation of structural steel components on site.
About the Role
As a Structural Steel Foreman, you will be responsible for:
- Interpreting architectural and engineering drawings to understand the scope of work and steel erection requirements
- Coordinating with project managers and team members to plan and schedule steel erection activities
- Assembling and installing structural steel components, such as beams, columns, trusses, and girders, using appropriate tools and equipment
- Ensuring accurate positioning and alignment of steel components by following layout and set out provided by the set-out engineer
- Rigging and lifting heavy steel components into place using cranes or other lifting equipment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines
- Monitoring and adhering to all safety procedures and regulations to create a safe work environment
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Experience in structural steel erection and foremanship
- Knowledge of engineering drawings and set-out procedures
- Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and coordination skills
