We are seeking an experienced Stockroom Manager to join our team at Jack & Jones Kildare Village. As a Stockroom Manager, you will be responsible for managing all stockroom operations, leading a team of stock associates, and ensuring efficient product flow from delivery to the sales floor.
About the Role
- Manage all stockroom operations to ensure efficient product flow from delivery to the sales floor.
- Lead a team of stock associates, ensuring proper stock handling, organization, and inventory control.
- Supervise stock deliveries, ensuring accurate receiving, logging, and timely restocking of items.
- Work closely with the sales and visual merchandising teams to ensure stock is readily available and displayed according to brand guidelines.
- Implement and maintain effective stockroom processes to minimize shrinkage, damage, and loss.
- Manage stock levels and conduct regular inventory counts, reporting discrepancies to the Store Manager.
- Ensure stockroom health and safety compliance, keeping the environment organized, clean, and hazard-free.
- Monitor and maintain stock replenishment and supply schedules to ensure store needs are met, especially during peak trading periods.
- Use inventory management systems to track stock movements and ensure accurate stock data for replenishment and sales analysis.
- Train and develop stockroom staff, ensuring a high level of performance and efficiency.
- Assist with large sales events, managing increased stock deliveries, preparation, and coordination with the store team.
- Collaborate with head office and store management on product trends, stock levels, and inventory forecasts.
Necessary Skills and Experience
- Previous stockroom management or supervisory experience in a fast-paced retail or logistics environment, ideally in fashion.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing large volumes of inventory.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team.
- Experience with stock management systems and software.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work under pressure, especially during busy periods.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with store staff and head office.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and organization in the stockroom.
- Physical ability to lift and move stock as required.
- A proactive approach to improving stockroom processes and efficiency.
