Job Description:
As a Cloud Support Engineer for Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will be at the forefront of transformational technology, assisting global companies and developers who are taking advantage of cloud services and features.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leveraging advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to customer needs.
- Partnering with Amazon Web Services teams to reproduce and resolve customer issues.
- Driving customer communication during critical events.
- Developing and presenting training, and working with development teams on complex issues or contact deflection initiatives.
- Working with leadership on process improvement and strategic initiatives.
What You'll Do:
- Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to provide tailored solutions for customers.
- Drive customer interactions by working with customers to dive deep into the root cause of an issue.
- Coach/mentor new hires, develop and present training, and partner with development teams.
- Participate in new hiring, write tools/script to help the team, and work with leadership on process improvement and strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of Technical support experience.
- Networking protocols: DNS, HTTP, SSL, TCP and UDP.
- Unix/Linux or Windows system administration skills.
- Knowledge of filesystem, block, object storage, Storage architectures and backup/DR strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience troubleshooting filesystem, block and object storage, scripting, and storage protocols.
- Prior working experience with AWS services, including AWS S3 storage, Storage Gateway, EFS, and AWS Backup.
- Exposure to OS and networking security concepts and standard methodologies.
