Store Manager - Builders Providers - South Wexford Our client, a well known successful Building Providers, DIY and Home Retail Store is seeking to recruit an experienced Retail Store Manager to lead the team and drive the continued success of the store in Wexford. As Store Manager, you will be a dynamic and strategic leader with a vast amount of knowledge of the building trade. You will have a strong understanding of the business P&L and a strong focus on people. Key Responsibilities: Lead, manage, and support the daily operations of our store, fostering a family-oriented and customer-focused environment. Drive sales, monitor performance metrics, and meet business targets. Report directly to the Company Directors on all financial metrics including P&L, balance sheets, and budgets. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customers, with a focus on purchasing, sales, and stock control of building materials. Ensure the store is clean, well-organised, and properly merchandised at all times. Oversee staff development, customer service, and team performance, creating a culture of continuous improvement. Ensure adherence to company policies on HR, stock management, credit control, and health & safety. Assist in team development, recruitment, marketing efforts, and planning for future business expansion. Ideal Candidate: Minimum of 5 years' experience with a proven track record managing a builder's merchants, DIY store, or similar retail environment. Strong financial acumen with experience in handling P&L statements, budgets, cash flow, and management accounts. Highly motivated, resourceful, and ambitious with strong leadership skills. Proficient in industry-standard software packages and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Excellent communication and organisational skills.
