Excel Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Supermarket Store Manager on behalf of our client, a well-established and successful retail group in Kildare.
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring all departments run efficiently and in line with company standards.
- Lead and motivate the store team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets.
- Manage P&L (profit and loss) and implement margin control strategies to maximise profitability.
- Maintain effective stock control, ensuring product availability, minimising waste, and controlling stock shrinkage.
- Delegate tasks and manage staff performance to ensure smooth operations and high productivity.
- Analyse sales data to identify opportunities for business growth and develop strategies to increase store revenue.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Collaborate with senior management to achieve business goals and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements
- Proven store management experience, ideally in a supermarket or large retail environment.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and delegate tasks to a large team effectively.
- Demonstrated expertise in P&L management, stock control, and margin control.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to drive sales and profitability through strategic decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on staff engagement and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks to meet operational and business needs.
