Job Purpose Reporting to the Business Development Lead, the Strategic Account Managerwill be responsible for growing and developing new business across all lines.This will involve selling and negotiating at senior management level to prospective customers, this is a hunter quota bearing role working to strict revenue targets. The Strategic Account Manager will plan, direct and control all activity to achieve and exceed agreed sales and profit objectives. They will be expected to create a strong pipeline and achieve a high conversion rate and to manage the end to end on-boarding process including contractual negotiations with senior stakeholders. They will have an established network of contacts within the ecommerce industry both domestically and internationally. Responsibilities Meet or exceed sales targetsas set by the Business Development Lead and aligned to the An Post Commerce Budget. Develop and submit high quality tender responses along with presenting our offering to Senior Key decision makers. Identify and win high volume domestic, inbound and outbound ecommerce business. Manage the on-boarding process for new customers end to end. Engage with Internal and external stakeholders in order to integrate customers efficiently. Manage and negotiate contractual agreements and ensure smooth logistical launches. Win new Direct Mail business. Identify and develop business opportunities that deliver / generate incremental revenue and profit streams. Develop and maintain powerful business relationships with key decision makers work with business unit/ functions to ensure their requirements can be facilitated. Create and maintain records and reports on customers, market activity and action planning within accounts/market sector using An Post Commerces CRM system. Present sales, revenue reports and forecasts to the Sales management team in a timely manner to keep management informed of status of accounts. Manage and represent Sales on various projects and events. Demonstrate An Post Values and behaviours in your day-to-day work and address behaviour that supports/ conflicts with them. Some international travel required. Knowledge, Experience and Skills You will be a dynamic sales professional with at least Five years trade and/or company experience and experience of selling and negotiating at a senior level. A consistent track record of success in major sales and contract negotiations with large corporate customers, presenting to c-suite and an in-depth knowledge of the markets that An Post competes in is key. You will have excellent influencing skills with the ability to gain commitment. You must be commercially savvy and have business awareness. You must be self-motivated and capable of working on your own initiative. You will have a vast and relevant network of key decision makers within the ecommerce industry specifically within Retailers and Consolidators in Ireland, EU and UK markets.
