You will also enjoy learning sessions with technical experts within your team, working on local projects and all kinds of social events.This is an office-based role, with successful candidates expected to work 5 days per week in the Arup office in Cork or Dublin.As a work placement student in the Strategic Advisory Team at Arup, you will:Support the transformation of recommendations into well-structured and clearly communicated project deliverables.Practice creative applications of technology to develop design solutions.Utilise communication skills for report writing and visual representations.Attend and participate in meetings – listen, ask questions.Be involved in discussions with team members to gain knowledge & experience.Undertake analytical research to develop, document, present concepts.Give structure to ideas – lots of “taking a first pass” at spreadsheets, reports, and analyses for discussion later rather than instruction.Work on defined tasks under supervision.Does this role inspire you?We're looking for students who are currently studying for a bachelor’s or postgraduate level qualification in a relevant discipline, including, but not limited to:Data Analytics or statisticsEconomicsFinanceLawBusinessPlanningManagementCommunications or Social StudiesWe also value:Strong attention to detailExcellent communication and teamwork skillsStrong report-writing and general communication skillsSolid planning, analytical and organisation skillsHighly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challengesAbility to engage with clients and partners in the development of project requirementsProjectsAs a part of the Strategic Advisory Services team in Arup you would be given the opportunity to work on a wide scope of projects.
