Strategic Projects Manager Nationwide: Develop and deliver flagship programmes for start-ups and SMEs with innovative sustainable solutions, driving business growth and climate action.

Bord na Mna is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Projects Manager to join our Accelerate Green team on a fixed-term basis. This role will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of our flagship Accelerate Green Start and Grow programmes.

The main duties and responsibilities of the role include:

  • Developing project plans to the highest standards using recognised project management principles
  • Ensuring best practice project management processes across all aspects of the programmes
  • Being fully accountable for project outcomes throughout delivery and remaining engaged until the project is fully delivered
  • Accountable for communication, reporting and escalation through all stages of the programme
  • Ensuring transparency, effective anticipation and decision-making are core responsibilities
  • Project managing the delivery and expansion of our Accelerate Green Programme, working closely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Overseeing the execution and promotion of the annual Accelerate Green Conference
  • Planning and execution for relevant press launches and pitch events
  • Implementing approved schedules of activity and engagement to connect with Accelerate Green companies
  • Leveraging alumni to advocate for Bord na Mna's positioning and Accelerate Green
  • Nurturing on-going engagement with the wider alumni network and creating introductions to relevant decision-makers
  • Developing and implementing relevant comms and PR plans to optimise coverage in Ireland for our Accelerate Green activities
  • Liaising with Corp Comms to ensure plans are in line with the Invest & Enable strategy and overarching corporate comms plan
  • Presenting on the programme to various audiences to promote awareness and reinforce Bord na Mna's sustainable positioning
  • Establishing and nurturing high-performing supplier and agency relationships
  • Managing planning, development, implementation and review processes with suppliers and agencies
  • Identifying key influencers and stakeholders in the wider start-up and accelerator space and fostering effective relationships
  • Providing oversight, validation and tracking of programme performance
  • Measuring and providing detailed analysis of the impact investments and enabled businesses have on direct and indirect employment in the region
  • Providing high-quality, evaluative thinking and evidence-informed analysis to support strategic decision-making and continuous programme effectiveness
  • Proactively participating in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own and the wider team's objectives

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills, knowledge and attributes:

  • Hons Degree in a business discipline
  • Postgraduate qualification or professionally qualified in Project Management
  • Minimum 5 years post-graduate experience with at least 2+ years in a project management role
  • Experience with start-ups and/or sustainability would be a benefit
