```html Your New Company This client is a large Engineering Consultancy, which is part of a global group of companies working across 45 countries. They are seeking a Structural Engineer to join their team due to growth. Your New Role The successful candidate will be responsible for applying their engineering skills to the design, development and delivery of projects for our clients whilst also working with the in-house team, continuing to grow their own experience and technical knowledge. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to work on a wide variety of construction technologies including 2D panelised and 3D modular systems. Responsibilities include: Interacting with project design teams on live projects. Following the company management systems. Undertaking concept designs on a wide variety of buildings as provided by the Senior Engineers. Delivery of segment of work provided to them by lead manager. Effective time management to allow for efficient delivery within allocated timelines. Producing structural engineering calculations for typical structures. Appropriately self-check their own work and that of their peers prior to issue to the senior engineering team. Support and share engineering knowledge with their peers with the approval of the senior engineering team. Assisting Senior Engineers in the development of timescales for new projects upon request. Highlight any potential variations to the senior team. Attending site visits as required for inspections. Issue inspection reports. Produce and issue site inspections in respect of BCAR. Aid to the senior engineer in the review and sign off of inspections. Develop a good working knowledge of important and relevant standards and typical details. Supporting team in relation to ongoing projects as a Structural Engineer. Develop knowledge in the area of MMC technologies and applications and continued CPD of new systems and developments in the industry. Develop knowledge in relation to applicable design standards such as Eurocodes. Be active in the review of relevant standards and guidance. Learning and build upon First Principles engineering analysis and be proactive in learning and researching the required technical information. Have ability to provide suitable hand calculations when required. Assist on R&D works where required. Develop knowledge in the use of the in-house design software, commercial software, and QA processes. Any other tasks commensurate with this post. What You'll Need to Succeed An honours degree in a relevant engineering discipline. A minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in Structural Engineering. Knowledge of MMC is beneficial but not essential. The ability to sustain positive working relationships within a team. Knowledge of British Standards and Eurocodes.
