Job Description
Structural Engineer required for a permanent position in South Cork, with a focus on steel structures and modular projects.
Our client is an engineering consultancy undergoing rapid growth, seeking a skilled professional to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production of structural designs for cold formed steel and structural steel elements
- Creation of technical details using Auto CAD/Revit
- Assisting Senior Structural Engineers as required
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and consultants
- Providing design office support to production departments
- Assisting with drawing queries from Estimating Department and commercial staff on technical matters
- Ensuring compliance with Quality Assurance and Management Systems and relevant Health and Safety Legislation
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, with experience of structural steel and cold formed steel design preferred
- Experience with structural software such as Tedds and Masterseries, and proficiency in MS Excel
- 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline such as Civil/Structural Engineering
- Working knowledge of UK Building Regulations, British Standards and Eurocodes
- Experience in the use of Auto CAD and Revit
- MMC experience beneficial but not essential
