Structural Engineer – Life Science/ Pharmaceutical

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Level 8 Degree in Structural Engineering is required.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in structural design.
  • Proven experience in designing modifications and alterations to building structures.
  • Chartered Engineer status, or close to achieving it, is highly desirable. Additional experience beyond the minimum requirement is also advantageous.
  • Familiarity with reviewing, verifying, and ensuring the accuracy of tender drawings.
  • Experience in conducting construction site inspections and preparing detailed site reports.
  • Proven ability to coordinate designs with other disciplines and stakeholders.
  • A thorough understanding of a Designer's responsibilities under Health & Safety Regulations.
  • Knowledge of the Irish Building Regulations and their application.
  • Understanding of project phases, team roles, and standard industry practices and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Selfdriven, with the ability to produce highquality work within tight project deadlines.
  • Capable of managing and executing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Commitment to working in compliance with the company's Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015).
  • Flexible, detailoriented team player with a focus on accuracy.
  • Experience in the life sciences/pharmaceutical sector is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with contract preparation and project management would be beneficial.
  • Experience with Revit and BIM systems is an advantage.
