Position: Substation Electrical Engineer, Transmission and Distribution Delivery Are you looking for a new challenge? A Brighter, zero carbon future awaits! Join our dedicated team where we are responsible for the design of high voltage transmission and distribution assets for ESB Networks as well as providing consultancy services in Transmission & Distribution technology for external clients. This includes both conceptual and detailed engineering design, design safety management (Project Supervisor Design Stage), project programming and commercial management. The Substation Electrical Engineer will use their significant experience in design and project delivery to deliver multi discipline projects. They will be required to have strong project management and technical design background, detailed knowledge of internal safety procedures and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Key Responsibilities Use previous experience to provide high quality designs, attend design meetings and produce all project deliverables such as budgetary and quality requirements on a diverse range of electricity transmission and distribution development projects Working as Project Supervisor Design Stage and coordinate safety on projects (PSDP) Preparation & review of design risk assessments and project H&S plans for design & construction teams Undertake the role of Lead Engineer. Manage and coordinate inputs from a range of engineering disciplines and key stakeholders Provide HV Project design support associated with internal and external project delivery models (EPC) Provide project coordination of external framework designers Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Working as part of this dynamic team, you will always have new challenges and new problems to solve – working together is key. You will have the autonomy to choose how best to tackle tasks and solve problems with the support of your colleagues. Essential: Experience in substation design and an understanding of scoping, planning, design, costing, and construction Proven ability to work in a team to a high level of performance Commercial and project management experience The demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities PSDP experience Site Working experience Full Driving licence and access to a car Desirable: PSDP Competency Qualifications: Either 3rd Level Electrical Engineering qualification or equivalent work experience is essential #J-18808-Ljbffr
