Job Description
Supervising Pharmacist role in Co. Waterford requires a qualified professional to manage the dispensary, interact with health professionals, and ensure safe and efficient delivery of medicines.
The main duties include:
- Operating the dispensary in accordance with legal responsibilities and pharmacy guidelines.
- Exercising law, ethics, and codes of practice as laid down by the Irish Pharmaceutical Society.
- Providing a safe and efficient dispensing service to customers.
- Ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medicines to customers.
- Interacting with other health professionals.
- Managing monthly submissions to payment boards and proactively following up on rejected claims.
- Building and maintaining relationships with local doctors and other health professionals.
- Seeking new business through approaching nursing homes and other relevant institutions.
- Performing other projects and duties as required.
Knowledge and experience required:
- 3 years qualified as a pharmacist.
- PSI-approved Pharmacy Qualification and registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
- Ability to deal with high volume dispensing.
