Job Description
Supply Chain Lead role available for a specialist in plastics component manufacturing, requiring experience in a similar role within manufacturing, administration, or a supply chain environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate clients' shipments and deliveries, dealing with queries and issues arising from delays.
- Correspond with customers, logistics providers, and suppliers daily.
- Prepare commercial invoicing and packaging slips for all customers.
- Coordinate shipments and deliveries with store personnel and company driver.
- Communicate weekly with internal stakeholders regarding orders, inventory status, and delivery schedules.
- Attend client meetings, providing updates and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Arrange collection and delivery of raw materials and packaging.
- Ensure strong communication on material supply status with internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate shipping and customs clearance activities as required.
- Ensure certificates of conformance align with requirements and correct records are retained.
- Book materials and packaging onto ERP IQMS, ensuring FRM:138 is completed and attached to goods inwards.
- Data entry and export from the company ERP IQMS.
- Maintain relevant supply chain records.
- Ensure truck driver card and tachograph are up to date.
- Complete virtual line clearance and sign off online clearance form.
- Coordinate weekly stock checks with store personnel and material handler.
- Ensure stock levels are correctly reflected in the company's ERP IQMS.
- Email weekly stock checks to financial controller, operations manager, and production manager.
- Client stock checks to be completed on request from the customer.
- Coordinate ad-hoc shipping and customs clearance activities as required.
- Liaise and provide support with upcoming audits.
- Participate in lean initiatives to assist with cost savings and drive efficiencies.
- Provide cover for leave within materials, administration, and shipping departments as required.
- Comply with approved procedures within the Quality Management System.
- Actively participate in lean initiatives and help with continuous improvement.
- Establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve the Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001 requirements.
- Ensure all transport companies have signed a transport agreement.
- Conduct internal audits and quality spot checks.
- Support with any WMS issues that may arise.
- Raise opportunities for improvement to be reviewed and implemented within the Quality Management System.
- Coordinate approvals of new suppliers.
About the Role:
- Leaving certificate or equivalent.
- Administration/MS Office certification.
- A third-level qualification would be an advantage.
- Good communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Good level of IT/PC skills.
- Two to three years in a similar role within manufacturing, administration, or a supply chain environment.
Job Requirements:
- Full-time, permanent position.
- Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, with opportunities for overtime.
