Job Description

On behalf of our client within the pharmaceutical sector, we are currently recruiting for a Supply Chain Planner.The office is based in Dublin City Centre and the position will be hybrid with 3 days a week in the office.SummaryReporting directly to the Executive Director of Supply Chain, the post holder will be responsible for the planning and order management of licensed pharmaceutical products, in compliance with the US CBP regulations, cGDP and US FDA regulations from global contract manufacturers in multiple geographical locations.Develop and actively manage forecasting models for the rolling 18-month planning horizon, reflecting on hand network inventory, open purchase order commitments, in transit and demand and supply changes, to ensure adequate safety stock is in place at all times.Manage complex supply plans and collaborate with cross-functional global teams for optimal solutions, including setting inventory levels and balancing supply availability with associated costs.Support the Supply Chain S&OP process, highlighting constraints and proactively identifying potential supply issues and improvement efficiencies.Work closely with contract manufacturers to define manufacturing cycles to maximize production capacities (i.e., sweeping full batches where possible) whilst minimizing obsolescence.Ensure that all Planning and Supply Key Performance Indicators are measured and reported quarterly to the contract manufacturer and internal management.Resolve demand and supply issues through creative problem solving and managing appropriate communication and escalation when required.Ensure customer queries are answered with the most up-to-date information.Develop and maintain long-term positive relationships with contract manufacturers and customers.RequirementsEducated to degree level or higher in supply chain, science or other related discipline.Qualification in a Supply Chain discipline, preferably an APICS qualification.Approximately 6 years of relevant supply chain manufacturing experience, ideally in pharma.Experience in supporting S&OP processes is preferable, but not essential.Ideally SAP User experience and Advanced Excel skills.Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Proven ability to develop planning processes and subsequent rollout.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems is essential.Successful candidates must have strong planning & analytical skills with attention to detail.Excellent communication and presentation skills.For full details contact Linda at +353 1 2784701 or email your CV to ldunne@thornshaw.com.Thornshaw Scientific is a division of the CPL Group www.thornshaw.com #J-18808-Ljbffr
