Job Description

Morgan McKinley are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Specialist with a strong background in planning to join one of our pharma clients on a 12-month contract.


The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our supply chain operations, ensuring efficient and effective planning, and contributing to the overall success of our pharmaceutical production and distribution processes.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversee end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, and distribution.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to ensure timely delivery of products and materials.
  • Implement and monitor supply chain KPIs to drive performance improvements and cost efficiencies.
  • Manage inventory levels to meet production and sales demands while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.
  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
  • Ensure alignment of production plans with sales forecasts and customer orders.
  • Oversee logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and costeffective supply of materials.
  • Conduct supplier performance evaluations and implement improvement plans as needed.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Utilize data analysis and supply chain modelling techniques to inform decisionmaking and optimize operations.

Key Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain management preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA).
  • Excellent analytical, problemsolving, and decisionmaking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a fastpaced environment.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS CSCP, CPIM) is highly desirable.
