Supply Chain Specialist for a Sustainability Start-up: Create a new supply chain from scratch and drive growth in a dynamic, start-up environment.

Our client, a brand new start-up in the Sustainability and Sport industry, is seeking a talented Supply Chain Specialist to create a brand new supply chain and drive growth in a dynamic, start-up environment.

The business is up and running with the initial supply chain in place, but needs an expert in best practice supply chain including logistics, 3PL/4PL management, fulfilment, planning, and forecasting.

The Role

• A strong track record working within the Operations and Supply Chain function, including detailed experience with Supply and Demand Planning, Materials management, Sourcing, Logistics, and warehousing as well as local and international transportation.
• Experience with Supplier relationship management, including 3PL and 4PL, outsourced logistics, and warehousing.
• Experience working in a start-up environment, where there is a requirement for agile and creative thinking in sometimes ambiguous situations.
• A leader, someone who relishes taking the lead in creating and leading a function and has the capability to work both independently and as part of a leadership team.
• Requires someone who is both very hands-on and interested in being involved in all aspects of the business, used to working in an un-demarcated manner while also being able to think strategically and add value.

Requirements

• MSc in Supply Chain Management or similar.
• 4+ years' experience in leading a supply chain and/or logistics function, with experience working in a start-up environment desirable.
• Exceptional experience with implementing and optimizing digital platforms relating to Supply Chain and Logistics.
• Experience in working in recycling, Sustainability, and circular economy highly desirable.
• Experience working in a hybrid environment, with office-based work 2-3 days per week.
