Support Engineer II, Global Maintenance Automation Platform (MAP)
Summary: Review and deploy software solutions to ensure error-free production, manage trouble tickets, and contribute to process improvements in a global Operational Excellence team.
Amazon's Maintenance Automation Platform (MAP) Team plays a critical role in ensuring machine-generated data leads to automated maintenance actions. Our objective is to mature and integrate core software tools into a unified Maintenance Automation Platform.
As a Support Engineer within the Global MAP OE team, you will:
- Review and test software solutions and new functionalities to ensure they are error-free and ready for production.
- Deploy software solutions to our production facilities, remotely or on-site.
- Manage trouble tickets to resolution or escalation using existing documentation, procedures, and tools.
- Maintain products and systems and perform change management activities using existing documentation or with support from peers.
- Identify improvements to existing support processes and contribute to support documentation updates and creation.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of software development or technical support experience.
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
- Experience in Unix.
- Experience scripting in modern programming languages.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with AWS, networks, and operating systems.
