Job Description

Fantastic opportunity for a Sustainability Project Manager to work with my client, a major organisation in the public sector.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the implementation of my client's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) project.
  • Ensure compliance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), tackle identified gaps, and integrate solutions into the implementation roadmap.

Skills Required:

  • Relevant qualification in Sustainability, Business, or related field, with experience in project delivery and data analysis.
  • At least 5 years commercial experience in Project Management, PMO, Business Analysis, Operations, or Change Management positions.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Project Management qualification (e.g., Prince II, PMP).
  • Analytical skills with strong Excel and reporting capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability concepts and regulations.
  • Experience in sustainability programmes is a plus, but passion is essential.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and drive change.
  • Previous experience in the public sector, IT, insurance, financial services, utilities, or professional services.

The Role:

  • Lead and drive impactful sustainability initiatives and shape the future of my client's Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) project.
  • Demonstrate and enhance your expertise in data analysis and reporting through impactful sustainability reports and insights.
  • Enhance your skills in sustainability and project management.
  • Work with a dynamic team and build strong relationships with key stakeholders and industry experts.

Deliverables:

  • Drive the delivery of my client's Sustainability Strategy.
  • Lead the CSRD project to ensure timely delivery and compliance with the ESRS framework, effectively implementing the project roadmap.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement in sustainability practices.
  • Prepare compelling sustainability reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, including the Leadership Team and Heads of Functions, to build strong relationships and support regulatory reporting frameworks.
This is a 10-12 month fixed term contract opportunity.
