St. Vincent's University Hospital, a leading healthcare provider, seeks a skilled Senior Clinical Engineering Technician to join its Medical Physics & Clinical Engineering Department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues with medical devices to ensure optimal performance.
- Contributing to departmental policies and services, driving innovation and improvement.
- Providing maintenance services for electro-medical equipment, ensuring safety, accuracy, and reliability.
- Coordinating and implementing preventative maintenance and safety programs.
- Advising on equipment selection, specification, testing, and safety.
- Participating in the implementation and use of the SVHG Maintenance Management and Asset Register System.
- Supporting nursing, medical, and technical staff in technology-driven patient care.
- Developing specialist areas of interest within Clinical Engineering.
- Participating in education, training, and research programs.
- Engaging in professional development and obtaining relevant certifications.
- Providing user training and contributing to continuing professional development.
- Participating in national professional societies and contributing to the development of the Clinical Engineering profession.
