Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Development Manager to lead a team of Software Developers and Systems Development Engineers in Amazon Security, responsible for delivering industry-best security services. Amazon Security is a fast-paced environment where we "Work Hard, Have Fun, Make History." Our team works with users to design new security features, deploy software through large automated systems, and operationally support security software. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading a team of Software Developers and Systems Development Engineers to deliver industry-best security services.
- Designing new security features and deploying software through large automated systems.
- Operationally supporting security software and finding new approaches to automate fixes for operational issues.
- Using AWS services to solve design problems and improving both user experience and security.
- Experience managing teams of more than 5 engineers.
- Experience with engineering operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle.
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
- Experience in building production software.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring, and managing teams of Software Engineers.
