Job Details Our client is seeking a dedicated System Engineer Infrastructure to support and implement a global systems infrastructure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer to showcase both technical and organizational skills while working as part of a small team of engineers on the forefront of IoT technologies. This is a hybrid role, requiring three days on-site each week. Responsibilities: Responsible for designing and supporting global IT infrastructure including VMWare, Operating Systems, storage, Backups, and Servers. Responsible for capacity management of compute and storage infrastructure. Communicating with both internal and external customers and vendors to ensure a resilient and scalable network infrastructure is provided. Conscious of security at all layers. Coordinate with various stakeholders and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation. Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements. Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for all reported incidents. Liaise with manufacturer TAC support teams during customer incidents. Required: 5 years experience working with VMware required. 5 years experience working with Linux and Windows Server operating systems required. 5 years' experience working with storage and critical backup solutions. Solid understanding of cloud network technologies and the ability to provide synergy between the traditional and IaaS architectures. Telecom experience preferred. Proven track record in working with small teams to aggressive timelines. Excellent documentation skills. Excellent spoken and written English. Commitment to provide a high quality and professional service. Ability to priorities work tasks. Adaptable and flexible in approach to work, able to work under pressure.
