__________________________________________________________________________________ Job Title: Systems Control Analyst (Compost Division) Department: Central Growing Reports To: Growing Technical Manager Ref: Ref-311 - V1 - 05/09/2024 __________________________________________________________________________________ Role Overview Reporting to the Growing Technical Manager, the main responsibility in the role is to monitor both the environmental and analytical KPIs in the compost division daily and report/communicate all parameters which are outside specification to the management in each facility. In this role, you will need to build a strong relationship with the management in the compost division and provide support to help them manufacture a consistent high performing compost on a weekly basis. Work with the growing team to identify the optimum compost in the growing units and feed this information back to the compost division. This is a new role, and the successful candidate will act as a core member of the team in influencing Monaghan’s ability to produce consistently high performing compost. Main Duties Support the introduction and daily management of Monaghan’s compost recipe calculator. On a weekly basis, review and advise on trends seen on the summary sheets of the calculator. On a daily basis, audit the environmental control systems in the compost division to ensure all set points are being achieved. Review chemical analysis for compost on a daily and weekly basis – identify any values which are out of specification and report and discuss with the compost division. Generate summary reports for each site on a weekly basis to indicate areas that are outside specification. Keep all Blueprints up to date and program the Fancom computer system and central auditing system. Work to standardise sampling and testing of compost across the division. As required, carry out projects in the division and complete detailed reports on the findings. Cover the growing support person when on annual leave. Competencies to perform the role Excellent attention to detail. Be able to work under pressure. Demonstrate ability to work effectively, both independently and in a team. Ability to solve problems by being collaborative, creative, and analytical. Quick learner and research focused. Can organise ideas including summarising them and explaining concisely. Ability to switch from high level to detailed information as needed. Ability to work towards long and short term targets. Have excellent communication skills and the ability to interact confidently with all levels of management. Be flexible and adaptable as the role develops with time. Experience and Qualifications Essential Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Proficient level of English. A qualification in Horticulture/Agriculture or similar. Desirable Previous experience with data analysis. Crop growing experience. Proficiency in a second language (in addition to English). Other significant role requirements May be required to travel to other Monaghan sites. Full clean driver's licence.
