Job Description
Systems Development Engineers with the Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Response Team drive the security and stability of AWS network, innovate automation, and collaborate with engineers across the company to deliver high standards for safety and security. They work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain, and join a diverse team of experts who foster a culture of inclusion and empower employees to own their ideas. Responsibilities include performing high quality systems operations, deploying and scaling applications, working with customers and service teams, and identifying and driving automation of repeatable tasks. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of technical leadership, success in driving complex issues to resolution, and an automation-first mindset. They must have in-depth knowledge of systems engineering and/or security, and be able to clearly communicate design best practices. The candidate will regularly demonstrate operational excellence in supporting a large-scale service provider or enterprise environment, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and collaborate with people across AWS to achieve seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for customers.
